User Education

Who we are

The User Education Committee is a subcommittee of the New Jersey Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries and the College and University Section of the New Jersey Library Association. The function of the committee is to promote information literacy as an educational goal, and to support the development of, and pursuit of excellence in library user education programs. The committee produces professional development programs on teaching and learning in libraries, disseminates information about information literacy and user education, and serves as a forum for the discussion of issues relating to information literacy.

We still have to find out if we can video conference in the lecture hall to the two other Rutgers locations for our meeting. If you were planning to video conference into the meeting from NWK or Camden please email Amanda and Cara so we can start to making arrangements for that. 
 
If you are staying for the  ACRL National Webinar - Craft of Library Instruction - it will be taking place in the SCC (same room)  at 2pm.

The 2015 Summer Information Literacy Workshop: Charting a New Course for Information Literacy. This workshop will involve ten-minute Lightning Talks and Round Table discussions on issues of interest to academic and high school librarians involved in information literacy instruction.
